I get pissed because all season I put my faith and support into a team. I flaunt these aspects in front of other men who place theirs in other teams. When my team loses, it represents a waste of time, faith, and support and poor judgement in the choosing of teams. No one wants to have made a bad decision, and on top of it, have everyone else who follows the same sport be aware of it. The team doing something as simple as missing a field goal makes me feel like an idiot for believing they could win, when in fact, they were too unskilled to do so. This is why men get angry.

Though I must drop this behavior, and perhaps, lessen my interest in sports games as well as I'm expecting a son in 6 weeks. This is not the type of behavior I want to role-model and don't believe I can be "less angry" if I place such interest on the game or in the team. Men enjoy being competitive, and this is just a by-product of such.

I enjoyed the post, great job.

Hi Josh, I love the way you put you irony on the Web! New to the blog world myself, I'm trying to have a look at what is being done around. Very nice layout and I'm looking forward to be back and read more!

I have to say I resemble this remark, specifically about my alma mater and football. I get downright angry, not angry and people, but angry. You nailed the reason, too. I project the team's success onto myself. When we lose, it makes me feel like a loser (which can't happen btw.)

Men, in general, have an identity crisis. We get our identity from all the wrong places. Work, friends, family. Ultimately, we are God's children and nothing else matters.

Thanks for the great post.

These photos are incredible!! I wish I would have thought to use my iPhone 4s too. I had one weekend to shoot and it was rainy and gray!! But we managed to pull it off.

PS> Love the scenery you chose!!!

We lost because I didn't wear my purple beads until the last quarter. Or maybe we lost because I wore them? In any case, my bad.

So true. It's important to know, too, that no one is perfect and apologies are ok, as long as they're done quickly. I can't tell you how many times I've said something that I realize is wrong even as the words are leaving my mouth...and they just...keep...coming. Sometimes, sincere apology can have the best effect of all. As good as new, almost.
